Molly Mooring Melin received her doctorate in political science from the University of California at Davis. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wyatt Mooring of Rome.

Melin’s thesis examined the occurrence and success of third party resolutions to international conflicts.

She is now an assistant professor at Loyola University in Chicago where she resides with her husband, Philippe and son, Charles. Melin graduated from the University of Georgia in 2001 and is a 1998 graduate of Darlington School
