Report: Man jailed after leaving scene of wreck

A Rome man remained in jail Thursday after he allegedly left the scene of a wreck at Rooney Road and Coosawattee Avenue.

According to warrants from the Floyd County Jail:

Jeffery Tyler Aycock, 18, of 209 Brown Fox Drive, was jailed on charges of felony aggravated assault and misdemeanor charges of reckless driving and leaving the scene of an accident Wednesday afternoon.

Warrants stated Aycock quickly backed into oncoming traffic and struck a car, then took off down Rooney Road without reporting the wreck.

Aycock was being held without on bail on the felony and misdemeanor charges.
