According to a joint press release from the Bartow County Sheriff Clark Millsap and Cartersville Police Chief Tommy Culpepper, agents targeted street-level drug dealers and users early morning Tuesday.
Bartow-Cartersville Drug Task Force Commander Capt. Mark Mayton said a two-month investigation led to four search warrants in Bartow and several arrest warrants stretching across Bartow, Polk and Haralson Counties.
Raids took place at 51 Valley View Drive, Cartersville; 251 Road Number Three South, Cartersville; 12 Covered Bridge Road, Euharlee; and 35 Cantrell St., Cartersville.
A Cantrell Street resident not at home during the raid was arrested in Polk County, reports said.
Arrest warrants were also executed at 501 Hwy 20 Spur, Cartersville, and 742 Electric Dam Road, Dallas, on two people for the sale of methamphetamine.
While the amount of drugs confiscated in the individual raids had no substantial value, officials said the combined efforts had a “significant impact” on the supplier.
Officials said agents were also able to remove several weapons from the street, which likely could have been used in the drug trade.
Agents also seized a vehicle and a small amount of cash.
