New student pre-registration dates for the 2010 – 2011 school year have been set for Floyd County Schools. This registration is just for students new to a school in the Floyd County School System this fall.

If the student is attending a new school due to advancing in grade level (for example moving up to middle school from elementary school) and last year attended a feeder school of the school the student will be attending in the fall, registration is not required.

Pre-Registration for students new to Floyd County Schools, including all primary, elementary, middle, and high schools, will be held at each school.

This registration is for children new to the school system or children who are planning to attend a school they did not attend last year.

To register, primary and elementary students must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, have an immunization certificate, an eye/ear/dental certificate, and a birth certificate.

Middle and high school students must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, have an immunization certificate, and any records available from their previous school.

New Student Registration Dates:

Primary and Elementary Schools: Thursday, August 5 from 9 a.m. – Noon.

Armuchee, Model and Peperrell Middle Schools: Thursday, August 5 from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Coosa Middle School Thursday, August 4 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Armuchee, Coosa and Model High: Wednesday, August 4 from 9 a.m. to Noon.

Pepperell High School: Tuesday July 27 from 9 a.m. to Noon.

Requirements for Pre-registration:

Primary/Elementary:

Parent or legal guardian must accompany child, immunization certificate, eye/ear/dental certificate, birth certificate/SSN card , proof of residency, a current official utility bill that shows name and address

Middle/High School:

Parent or legal guardian must accompany student, record from previous school if available, immunization certificate, proof of residency, a current official utility bill that shows name and address.

Floyd County Schools is a “Be There” school system and encourages all parents and adults to be there for their children at home, at school activities and everyday events.
