Whitefield, 37, is a partner at Advance Rehabilitation and Consulting Inc.
He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, the Georgia Physical Therapy Association, and the Orthopedic Section of the APTA. He is also a a board member of Floyd County Division of Family and Children Services.
Whitefield attended Auburn University and earned an associate’s degree from the University of Alabama Birmingham. He and his wife, Lauren, have two children.
The appointment was announced Friday by Gov. Sonny Perdue.
