Rome police reported the theft of $294 in cash from the GNC on Hicks Drive after burglars took the store safe from the office and out the front door, reports stated.

According to Rome police reports:

Officers responded to a burglary report early Wednesday at 126 Hicks Drive and found that an unknown suspect or suspects pried open the back door, then pried the store safe from the floor then dragged it out.

A store official told police $100 of her own personal money along with store keys, replacement locks, papers and $194 in store money.

There were no suspects at the time of the report. Police did not have an estimate of how much a broken front glass door and the pried open back door.
