Fire officials were still on the scene of a vacant house fire in Lindale this morning that destroyed a home near the intersection of Park Avenue and Fourth Street.

Fire officials said the call went out between 3 and 4 a.m. Monday. No one was living in the wooden two-story home, and officials said Monday morning they don't even know who owns the structure.

The building was completely destroyed, with only the chimney and part of one corner of the house still upright.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
